there once were giants...

have we learned our lesson yet?there's too much hate, too much greed, not enough time for  those in need...

there...

  There were once giants...

were once giants who rules the world, and they were indifferent to everything that mattered, calused to anything that people cared for, impatient to all others, and concerned with no one else. they were beasts, gods and demons, and they battled till the end. there was no time for tolerence, not a minute spent on love, nothing seemed important, except their thirst to drink pure blood. nothing, nowhere mattered...and they died amoung themselves...no one won, everyone lost, nothing gained, only their demise
...

Adele - Skyfall (Clark Kent & Oscar Daniel Remix) [Free DL] HD

...and that was just about the time
when i looked around me and began
to wonder exactly when it was
that my troubles started to take off
like some vicious evil trend...
where was i? what was i doing? who was there with me? was it possible i didn't see it coming? did i not notice or try to make it end? can it be all just a dream, or is it now reality or maybe zen?
could i have ever, in a million years, tried to stop the falling down of all my tears? is there someone who can help me cope with all my fears? is something out there keeping me from ever getting ahead, or is it just what's brewing inside my twisted head? can someone out there be watching over me or am i satans child instead? is everything i've ever done just par for the course, or will it all add up and then, i'll be much better off? do people even notice me, my work, my written poetry? or is it all just never seen? i'll never wonder ask or need to have them tell me but it seems, that sometimes when they look at me, they remember things i've let them see, and in return they sometimes deem my life is worth more than i could dream.
i've stopped asking, i've stopped wanting, i've stopped seeking, but don't really know why...it seems all like a part of me was taken years ago to die. and when i lay down every night, i ask myself just why. i cannot stop believing that tomorrow begins tonight. the sky around me tumbles, and the mountains crumble down, the concrete i am standing on sucks me down much like quicksand, and the room i'm in begins to spin, that's when i stop, and look around, and try to start all over again.
maybe this time i can win...

where would you be now (sure is pure)

The Doobie Brothers - Long Train                                         Runnin'
         (sure is pure rmx)

Have you ever stopped and wondered if,
but truly if and only if,
all the bad times we endure
we suffer through which seem obscure,
turn around to be the greatest gifts,
ones from which we benefit?

What if something that you missed
were pissed about
and then dismissed,
was a time that you
would not have wished
on anyone,
so in fact, you were blessed.

What if after a bad break up
your man, u find out,
had crossed the line.
instead of being yours, was mine
and half the neighborhood too,
divine!
would u want him anyway?
i think not.
fine...
be gone.
next in line!
(i hope that he ends up doing time...)

So you see always something good
comes from what you wish you would
have never felt, or seen or heard,
but stop, look, listen,
and just observe.
that, in time,
you'll be just fine.
so relax,
be happy,
to yourself, remind...
and then one day, and just in time,
you'll somehow see
that in fact the reality
of the something bad was really,
destiny.

Without these things we think mistakes
where would we be?
instead take
the very worse times you have had
and turn them round
to good from bad.

today

it starts now,
today.
although later than it should have
 because of course i overslept,
i'm seeing the pieces move in closer together
and feeling an inkling of self respect.
i hope today is a better day
and i'll try my best to not throw it away,
because it's time,
or else i think i'll lose my mind,
i got to get it back.

Stairway

Led Zeppelin Vs. Gramatik - Stairway To Hip-Hop Heaven

            WHERE WILL IT TAKE YOU?
IS IT REALLY TIME?
CAN EVERYTHING BE HAPPENING AT ONCE?
WILL IT CHANGE MY MIND?
MAKE IT SANE BUT KEEP IT REAL
I LOVE THE WAY IT MAKES ME FEEL...
BUT IF NOT FOR TOMORROW, I'D SAY
I'M GLAD THIS TIME I'M BACK TO STAY.

everyone wants everything

Depeche Mode - Everything Counts

everyone wants everything,
their way,

all the time,
immediately,
and wonder why they didn't have it
yesterday.
they expect it
and in fact,
demand it
to be exactly
everything they want,
and then some.
they don't ask if you need a hand,
they don't feel obliged to lift a finger,

they don't care if your not feeling 100%,
they don't offer compensation,
yet they will rip your head off
just because.

they love to get.
anything, everything.

they want to feel special.
they believe they deserve it
because they do.

they don't understand why you don't understand.

what i don't understand is why you don't understand that i want, need and expect it all too...but i want it the way i want it, so...what are you gonna do about it? how you gonna fix it, make it better, make it perfect, and deliver it on time to me by yesterday?
huh?
i'm waiting...

all that glitters-the E! True Hollywood Story

Nicki Minaj - Save Me

From the outside looking in,
all that glittered appeared to be fascinating and intriguing,
something that one would naturally aspire to have,
yet with no clue at all how it was ever successfully achieved in the first place.
second glance showed natural flaws and minor ticks in character,
third opened up a little more insight, yet still fascinated and entertained,
but then by the fourth glance, the glitter started to fade
and the sparkle showed wear, even tear.
by the fifth time, what was originally mistaken for glamor was really not at all glamorous,
and in fact was starting to show signs of rust and decay,
and what the exterior gloss could no longer distract from,
now showed clear signs that something was missing...even wrong.
something that was once, not to long ago, there,
was probably pretty fabulous,
but had seen better days.
it was as if it had gotten lost somewhere along the way,
and was having a hard time finding it's way back.
sixth time it was becoming very clear that what was lost was lost it in a very dark place,
a place that showed no signs of light in the near future.
by the seventh time glancing, it was obvious that the glance had turned more into a stare
and the stare was made with eyes that had to now squint to hide the fear
of what exactly was happening right in front of them.
the glossy Vogue cover that had at first been so swooned over
was now sadly nothing more than some black and white newsprint handout
that had been ripped, smudged and thrown away.
abandoned.
that was exactly the moment when i started to change the way i saw everything around me in the world,
and started to realize that what glitters isn't always gold.
sometimes it's tarnished,
sometimes even,
it's nothing more than junk jewelry.
but there had to be another way to look at it...
nothing that once shined so bright and caused such pleasure should be discarded so quickly without even trying to polish it up,
even if for one last try.
maybe that junk jewelry, if cared for just a little bit more,
handled more delicately and with a lot more love and respect,
could still be something that gave joy to the world,
and make people smile.
one persons trash is always another man's treasure.
and this treasure,
i now see,
still has glimpses of a sparkle
that could maybe even blind everyone with it's magnificent
flash and sparkle...
and it could, quite possibly, even restore my lost faith
in everything i once i hoped was real.

that helped carry me away from a very dark place,
just by caring enough to try.

PONY RIDE

If everyone you think you know
is actually everything they want you
to believe they are,
is it really such a stretch to believe that
everything they really are
is nothing like the thing they created and tried to sell off as real
in the first place.
So, is it too much to ask that they ever
come close to resemble
the things they describe
and tried to pass off as
anything even remotely similar to,
in the same genre as,
in the general direction,
or ballpark of
what they don't want you to know
to be the truth?
In the long run,
that very thing they are trying to become
is actually the extreme opposite of
the very thing they sought out to hide in the first place...
so how, what, and why would we ever move beyond or forward
to trust what they will say
ever again?
or is it just something we must chalk up to a grand illusion of sorts
that was nothing more than one's own inability to be satisfied
with what the gods had thought they were being so generous to bestow.
but then that leaves us to all have to wonder
if in fact any of us are ever truly grateful,
or are we just maybe a little embarrassed for the gifts
confused at why we were chosen,
and so the natural reaction would be shame,
for it's not even a possibility we were ever really worthy...

But the worthy ones always know, deep down,
that they in fact are deserving of such a rich reward as to actually live the fantasy
the others create,
but they will probably never get the actual chance to enjoy the benefits
because they won't ever feel the need to complete the tasks
that these gifts eventually always demand.

So you have to really ask yourself,
can i even handle the truth???

who is he that some see as something other than what he seems? is it really, could it be, that the real one's better than the fantasy...tonight i found out and i was shocked indeed, to find that i had fallen victim to his loving scheme.
